Curry Leaf Plant ( Murraya koenigii) a New Host Plant for Common Line Blue ( Prosotos Nora) Butterfly in Pune, Maharashtra, India

Murraya koenigii (L.) Spreng is a tropical to subtropical tree in the family Rutaceae. Its leaves are used as condiment traditional cooking. The plant also host for swallowtail butterflies like Papilio polytes and demoleus . In this study we have observed documented complete life cycle of Common Line Blue butterfly Prosotos nora (C. Felder,1860) on inflorescence recorded six cycles from egg laying eclosing over period four years.
